Artist Statement
Most of my work is about the connection between life and death and the deep feelings that can make us uncomfortable. Through abstract pieces, I let my emotions take over and try to understand them by turning them into art.
The ways that I express my ideas are through ink on canvas and paper. This allows me to create unique pieces. I don’t always look for meaning. What matters most to me is how my art makes people feel. Once my art is finished, it no longer belongs to me, it belongs to the people who see it. Everyone feels something different, and their thoughts and emotions bring new meaning to my work. For me, their experience is what matters.
I want to create art that speaks to people through feelings. I translate my own fears, desires, and thoughts into my pieces, but when others see them, they take on a life of their own. Every reaction is unique, and that helps me see the world in new ways. By letting go and allowing others to feel their own interpretation, we can all find something beautiful.
